1. Offer your baby plenty of skin-to-skin contact to strengthen the bond and encourage milk production. Babies that do at least one hour of skin to skin are around 90% more likely to breastfeed.

2. Start early: start harvesting colostrum at 36 weeks of the pregnancy

3. Offer your baby frequent breastfeeding sessions during the day to build and maintain supply and try to breastfeed your baby for around 20-30 minutes per session.

4. Make sure your baby is positioned close to the the breast, with one hand at each side of breast for optimal milk transfer.

5. Make sure you are comfortable , calm and content first before latching baby

6. Try different feeding positions to see what you like best.

7. Do not feed babies with a hat or gloves, let baby touch you.

8. Allow baby time to learn to breastfeed, be patient

9.Dont introduce, formula, bottles or teats in the first 6 weeks

10. Enjoy the connection, it will not be forever...
